The overall article was enjoyable, however, I do have a few things to point out that I disagree with on a biblical level. Nowhere in the Bible, (And let's be honest, you quoted the King James version multiple times) does it tell you not to confront sinners unless you are a close friend. Jesus Christ literally called us to be fishers of men. Him and his disciples did not just go around to people they knew, they went to everybody, gentiles included. Yes, spreading the word should be done out of love that is the most important thing, and unfortunately a lot of Christians like to condemn and point out flaws without looking at the log in their own eye. However, righteous judgment does not have to tiptoe around sin, nor should it. When you tell somebody that they are sinning, such as, living a homosexual lifestyle, in no way should you go up to them pointing a finger and waving it around saying you're the bad guy! But you should kindly point out that what they are doing is wrong. Bible, more importantly Jesus Christ, calls for that. Secondly, anybody writing about the gospel is going to get a lot of hateful comments. They will hate us, because they hated him first. That is why churches who preach that homosexuality isn't a sin has so many followers. Why? Because now people feel comfortable in living in sin. If you preach what Jesus preached in a way that makes people feel comfortable, loved, and accepted, yes, you are doing something wrong. Because your sugarcoating stuff, you're leaving stuff out, and you are neglecting the actual word of God. You're creating a separate form of Christianity which is a feel-good religion. Feeling convicted is a good thing, righteous judgment is a good thing, a strict love from a father such as God, is a good thing. Let's not forget that Jesus technically was a hellfire preacher. The ultimate embodiment of love, meekness, he approached everybody with gentleness and kindness, but you best believe that he told them outright, if you do not follow the will of my father, through me, you will go to hell.
