Sensuality And Marketing – How To Utilize Sensuality Versus Sex When Advertising
They say sex sell; I say sensuality sells!
The term sex sells needs to have a warning label. Unfortunately, too many people exploit the human body in a suggestive and unfashionable way. Using scantily dressed women and men, using evocative and pornographic imagery, and exploding human beings is disgusting. That’s why I prefer sensuality over sex. Make it romantic, make it beautiful, make it tantalizing for your heart and mind, not just your genitalia.
Aside from my blogging, activity books, and selling art, I have also ventured into selling candles. And what’s the best way to market something? Imagery! You always want to make sure you pick the best advertising material to boost traffic. What gets the most attention? Sex. It doesn’t necessarily have to be a sexual product to utilize sensual imagery.
When I started creating my candles, I used colors like deep reds, pinks, black, and gold. All of those colors are naturally luscious, so all I had to do was market them according to their scent and title. Velvet kiss – a red raspberry scented candle.
