Most of you here on Medium don’t make as much as I do. I’m not saying this to gloat, I am saying this so you get a better understanding of how this platform works.I am going to break it down for you really quick, no bragging, no product selling, just honesty. If you are making the same amount, if not more than me on this platform, then I’m sure you have some questions.

Let me just say this real quick. If you are on this platform to make a quick buck, you’re in the wrong place. This is not your domain; this is a place for you to post your voice and hopefully gain enough traction to earn you money. If you aren’t making money, you can’t blame it on anybody but yourself. I know what you’re thinking; she writes about sex, but he’s already famous, they are using affiliate links, Medium keeps changing their program, etc. Stop.
This platform will change. The Medium partner program will change. Stop assuming that your work is so unique, transforming, and deserving of a six-figure income that you should just be at the top of the totem pole. That’s not how it works. That’s like walking into the headquarters of Google with an idea and being upset they didn’t accept it over thousands…
